JAUNTS WITH JANET during SPRING MIGRATION
When: Saturday April 7th (rain date, 8th)
Where: Come on boat leaving 8:30 from the mainland to Topsy Farms (We encourage car pooling at ferry)
What: Expert A.I. birders will guide visitors around this end of the Island. This event has been timed to overlap the winter birds and the early migrants.
Possible sightings during this birding workshop might include: Snowy Owls, Red-Tailed Hawks, Northern Harriers and other raptors, Swans, Water Fowl, Warblers, Robins, Red-Winged Blackbirds, Purple Martins and up to 6 types of Swallows.
The outing will last about 2 hrs. Bring binoculars, cameras, bird books and snacks if you wish.
Cars will return to Topsy Farms about 11:15 to visit the Wool Shed, taste a free sample of our sausage and lamb patties, and have access to the facilities. Leave in time for the noon ferry unless you wish to stay longer.
