Topsy Farms 100% wool yarn is wonderful to work with. It is unbleached, washed only in natural soap, leaving it soft with natural lanolin and sturdy with unbroken fibres.
Worsted weight is 2-ply and aran weight is 3-ply yarn. All skeins weigh 4 oz - 1/4 lbs or 113 grams. Since most knitting stores sell yarn in 50 gram balls, be aware that you only need half the number of skeins called for in a pattern.
Yardage varies per skein, but minimum amounts are 200 yards for worsted and 130 yards for aran weight.
Topsy Farms yarn is ideal for sweaters, mitts, toques or socks, or for creative wall hangings and other pure wool projects. It also felts beautifully.
Please note - colour may not be exactly as shown. We can't take new product photos for every dye lot, so your skein may not be the same as the photo. It will be in that zone, but could vary.
Your item will be shipped via Canada Post within 2 business days of your order. We will contact you if an unforeseen delay occurs. There is no difference in price between expedited and regular shipping, and expedited shipping insures and tracks your package. You cannot de-select expedited shipping. You will receive an email with the tracking information.
Please contact us by phone or email within 7 days of delivery, and send items back within 14 days. Custom items, unless they arrive damaged or defective, cannot be exchanged. Buyers are responsible for return postage costs. If an item is not returned in its original condition, buyer is responsible for loss in value.
I’ve been waiting 11 days for the yarn. Based on the estimated delivery date, it’s 7 days past due. I’ll happily review it when I receive it.
